WHERE THE SEED REMEMBERS - ART Gallery 2026
Where the Seed Remembers – is a multidisciplinary art exhibition exploring ancestry, memory, identity, nature, and the stories carried across generations through the lens of African/ African-Descent and Indigenous / Indigenous-descent peoples. In collaboration with the Minnesota Arboretum – Through visual art, sculpture, mixed media, and storytelling, the gallery invites audiences to reflect on the idea that, like a seed, we carry the memory of where we come from while continuing to grow into who we are becoming.
Rooted in cultural remembrance and connection to the natural world, the exhibition creates a space where art becomes a bridge between past, present, and future—honoring our roots while planting something for generations to come.
SPECTRUM OF SURREAL - 2024
Spectrum of Surreal was a 2024 multidisciplinary art gallery created in collaboration with local artistic curator Sydney Oundo, celebrating the imaginative worlds of African and African-descended artists and the ways their canvases reflect the inner landscapes of our collective people.
More than an exhibition, Spectrum of Surreal created an immersive Black cultural space where visual art, music, movement, memory, and community came together. The gallery invited audiences to experience Black creativity beyond the boundaries of realism—exploring identity, ancestry, imagination, emotion, spirituality, and the many worlds that exist within us.
The experience extended beyond the canvas with live music, Rondo Double Dutch, and a Memphis Jookin dance battle, transforming the gallery into a living environment of expression, celebration, and connection.
At its heart, Spectrum of Surreal was a place of Black space—where our stories could breathe, our bodies could move, our imaginations could expand, and Black creativity could exist freely and unapologetically.
Our Space is Spoken For - Twin Cities Media Alliance
Our Space Is Spoken For was a multidisciplinary public art and storytelling cohort through Twin Cities Media Alliance that became an important launching point for my creative career after college. The project brought artists together with community members to honor and preserve real-life stories by transforming lived experiences into original works of art.
For my project, I collaborated with DJ Kool Akiem, a renowned Twin Cities DJ, producer, and member of The Micranots, to interpret and honor a community member’s life story through a multidisciplinary experience blending spoken word, movement, music, rhythm, and storytelling.
The experience helped shape the foundation of my creative practice and showed me the power of using art as a vessel for preserving memory, uplifting community voices, and transforming personal stories into collective experiences.
